Highly acclaimed from its very beginnings in 2001, YeraSon Orquesta Charanga has proudly held weekly shows in Manhattan while the YeraSon Trio performs several times a week in and around New York. ![]() In 2001, passionate to realize his artistic vision of blending his deeply rooted Cuban musical heritage with the thrilling energy of his new home “New York City”, Yrving created YeraSon Orquesta Charanga. He has been a featured soloist in Concerts at Lincoln Center, Town Hall New York, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, can be heard in numerous recordings, including the film soundtracks of Woody Allen’s Cafe Society and Midnight in Paris, as well as appearing on screen in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, and Cafe Society. In 1999, Yrving came to the United States bringing with him the great spirit and traditions of Cuban music. While performing with the symphony for over eight years, Yrving created his own trio, Alma Latina which toured throughout Cuba and was repeatedly invited to perform in Holland, Germany, Belgium, Costa Rica, Panama,and Guatemala as Ambassadors of Traditional Cuban Music By the age of 14, he became the youngest member in the history of the Santa Clara Symphonic Orchestra in which he rose to earn principal chair. Grammy Winning Violinist Yrving Yeras was born in 1973 in Santa Clara, Cuba. Yrving Yeras- Violinist, Singer, Bandleader YeraSon has appeared in a video with the Japanese Pop Music Group SMAP, a Nokia Commercial, and a Havana Central Commercial, a Cuba Mia Commercial, and can be seen performing live weekly in and around New York City with the Orquesta Charanga and Trio Formats, and also performs as a Big Band with a full Brass section and Dance Company. YeraSon has appeared in a Live Broadcast from Town Hall New York as a guest of A Prarie Home Companion, and have performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC for the Latin Heritage Awards. YeraSon appears in the Woody Allen Film, Cafe Society, and are on Track 12 of the Cafe Society Soundtrack. YeraSon has won a 2013 GRAMMY - Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media, for their work on Woody Allen's Academy Award Winning Film, Midnight in Paris. Delighting audiences from Concert Halls, Festivals, Universities, Film, Television, Weddings, Night Clubs and Restaurants, YeraSon is a treat for both ears and the feet! The group's unique sound is at once elegant and energetic with a contagious rhythm that attracts dancing and listening crowds alike.
